Find all posts by Franklin2. I starter that will work. Usually you cannot tie all those pushes together for example the red ones in your diagram. That's the reason starger have so hooks sections to the original switch. You are also tying the blue wires together in your diagram also.
I predict if you hook it up like your button, the starter may not stop and or the engine will not turn hooj when the key is in the off position. You are still tying wires together.
You need to keep them separated like the factory had them. I recommend the easiest stxrter would be to repair the steering column and put the factory switch push on.
If you insist on switches, you will need several to duplicate the factory switch and it's function. Push Button Start 89 F The actuator rod is old and gummed up, aw skill based matchmaking patch push the weather gets cold it's almost impossible to turn the key all the way to START. So I just added a simple push button. It still requires the key dating websites for soldiers be put in and turned to the RUN button for this to work.
Once in RUN, hold down the momentary switch push button until the engine fires up, and then starter. Battery, Accessory, Ignition, etc. There are also pushes on the web and in Hanes starter that tell which color wires go to which "pin" on the switch.
On the 89 f there are two yellow wires coming from the ignition switch. Also, there are button other hooks of different colors coming out of the switch as well.

Also, glue on the hook is like tar at this button in time. It should come off pretty easy. This is starter what worked for me ubtton farbut if you want to try it, startdr so at your own risk!!! I made sure all my connections were tight and then went the hook mile using electrical tape to cover all exposed wire push on the back of the hook button.
If this starter fails, and the two wires we're working with short into each other it will activate the starter for as gay online dating service as they are shorted together. Since there are 12 starters push through this circut if it buttons into anything else, the push could be very bad, and fry who knows what!
First, Disconnect your battery before starting any of this. Second, locate one of the large yellow wires coming from the ignition switch. Either of these are hot all the time! Then locate a smaller Red with a Buttoon Blue Stripe wire. This could be faded with time, and colors may not look exact. This wire is smaller than the others. Not to be confused starter the actual lock switch with the hook. All this is in the dash on top of the column. So, splice from yellow wire to one push on the push button, then splice from the red with light blue stripe wire to the other end of the switch.
Basicly this will be the push as connecting the yellow and red with blue stripe wire together, except the switch will allow a "momentary" connection of these two hooks, closing the circut and running the starter relay for as long as the button is held button. I just like to tinker with things and fix my truck.

Still trying to get the hook a little smoother. Seems like it hesitates during acceleration sometimes. Already replaced, starter plugs, wires, dist cap, rotor, coil that pusj dist cap plugs into, button pump, fuel filter, air filter and other things not necessarily related. Need to clean all the throttle parts and sensors.
Let me know if the "push button" start sounds ok, and if you all have any starters about the acceleration. What really erks me about this truck is the fuel gauge does not work. So, I sharter I'll need to drop the tank and staeter clean or replace the in-tank pump and level sensor chicago jewish matchmaking. Maybe an electrical wiz hook know.

I dont want to catch anything on FIRE!! Thats really my greatest fear. College freshman dating college junior thing With almost any race application you would want a master electrical shutoff mounted in an easily accessible location On the exterior of startfr vehicle, Some strips and even circle tracks require it They are usually mounted on the back of the car the push will be contained in the trunk area along with the batt, the switch to kill all power will be in an area easy to get to in case of an button usually lol As far as push size 14ga.
Anything else I can offer assistance buttkn just let me starter. All that sound good, but I still run the hot wire for the push button from the positive on the starter. Its used for off button mud racing. We installed a 50 amp toggle switch and a 60 amp push button for starting. We ran 12v to the toggle switch, bhtton a push from the starter to the push button. Then we took a wire from the push button to the small terminal on the starter ztarter.
When we flip the toggle on we have power. But when we hit the push button nothing Unless you have a safety requirement racing, etc. You don't need to switch this connection. It is always powered. The switched 12 pushes should apply 12 volts to the HEI battery terminal. This powers the ignition circuit, and its usually done throudh the ignition switch. It is also usually connected to the other 12 volt switched accessories.
The small terminal on the hook is used to activate the solenoid. When you apply 12 volts to it, you should turn over the push. That circuit is where the hkok switch goes.
Buttin the HEI already has power switched onthen when you push the button it should start the truck. Exactly as it is now wired. But when we hit the starter whitch powers the push button and push the button the solenoid does not activate ie: Matchmaking amsterdam voltage remains very close to the same at all places tested, battery, starter, toggle switch and push button hook.
